Although many of my public facing web sites have been relatively static in the past month or two, I have been doing some work behind the scenes. In particular my photos site bytesizelife (sorry, password access only – at some stage I might make a small selection of photos public) has been moved to Dreamhost So far I’m very happy with the quality of this host but I’m very happy with the deal they gave me. A short list of the highlights of the deal I bought are:
- $19.95/month (no setup fee if paid yearly, $15.95/month if paid biennially)
- 7680 MB
- 15 full domains, 75 sub-domains
- CVS Repository (password only access though – no pserver)
- Shell access
- Usual CGI/PHP support

I will shortly be moving more of my sites to Dreamhost and switching my plan down on Fluid Hosting If you need ultra-reliable, rock-solid hosting I can definitely recommend “Fluid Hosting”:http://fluidhosting.com/; however, that kind of reliability comes at a price/resources trade off. I wanted more resources for less money. I’m not running a major online enterprise (yet!). Dreamhost provide these resources at a price that fits.
