One of the few tabs in Textpattern (see the screenshots on the Textpattern homepage if you’re not familiar with the tabbed layout of Textpattern adminstration) that left me feeling confused was the ‘Organise’ tab. This tab allows the user to set post categories (which confusingly appear to be called Articles in γ 1.14 – the latest release as of this post but I’m sure they’re categories) and sections. What’s the difference?

I had put investigation of this mystery on the back burner while I dealt with more pressing issues . Fortunately for me it looks like I won’t have to put any time into this as Joel Dueck has already done the hard work and has summed it up very nicely.
